A pull session snapshots your open orders at one moment so your packing team can work through a fixed queue all day without orders disappearing or shifting mid-shift. Here’s the full lifecycle: start, pull, defer, finish.

Step 1: Start the session

Go to Sales > Pulls and click Start Pull. This captures every eligible open order right now. Start-point presets and custom start/end date fields sit behind a Customize start time disclosure next to the button, if you need something other than “everything eligible right now.” Hoard shows a live count of orders that will be captured before you confirm, so you can sanity-check the size of the pull first.

Step 2: Open the pull sheet

Once the session exists, click Open Pull Sheet on the active session card. See how to print a pull sheet for what’s on it and how to print it.

Step 3: Pullers work the queue from a tablet

Anyone can scan a row’s QR code from a phone or tablet — no login, no app install. They step through orders one at a time: card images, condition, quantities, and shipping priority for each. Tapping Next advances the queue and updates progress.

Step 4: Defer a hard order

If a puller can’t find a card, they tap Push to the End. That order drops to the back of that queue instead of blocking everyone behind it, and it stays deferred even if the tablet is refreshed, so the team can circle back once the easy orders are done.

Step 5: Finish each game’s queue

Each game (and shipping class within a game — tracked vs PWE) completes independently. When a puller reaches the end of their queue, they tap Mark done. Tapping it twice is safe; Hoard only records one completion. Marking one shipping class done doesn’t affect the other — a game’s tracked queue can be done while its PWE queue is still open.

Step 6: Watch progress and end the session

Back on Sales > Pulls, the active session card shows a live per-game progress strip, orders done vs left, deferred count, and any warnings. Click Refresh to pull the latest numbers without reopening the sheet or any tablet. When everything’s packed, click End Session to close it out.

Things worth knowing

  • Sessions expire. A pull session runs for 24 hours. If you skip a day (a weekend, for example), the next session you start automatically recaptures orders you shipped but never formally pulled, so nothing falls through the gap.
  • New orders don’t jump in. Orders placed after a session starts wait for the next pull. This is what keeps the tablet queue fixed instead of shifting under a puller’s hands.
  • Mid-day refresh warnings. If you refresh orders during the day and one that’s already in the active pull is no longer eligible (say it got cancelled), Hoard flags it with a “needs review” warning on the tablet rather than silently dropping it, unless it was outright cancelled — cancelled orders are removed entirely with a “N cancelled removed” note. A refund that comes in after capture keeps the order in the pull but shows a “DO NOT SHIP” banner so nobody packs it by mistake.
  • Reassigning a wrong pull. If an order landed in the wrong pull, go to Sales > Orders, find it, and click Unassign in the Pull column. It becomes eligible for the next pull session.
