Cancelling is a different action from refunding — it happens before an order ships, usually because you can’t fulfill it. The cancellation itself happens on TCGplayer; here’s what to do around it so Hoard doesn’t leave stale work behind.

Step 1: Cancel the order on TCGplayer

Use TCGplayer’s own seller portal order management screen to cancel the order. Follow whatever TCGplayer’s current cancellation flow shows you — their menu paths change, so don’t rely on a memorized sequence.

Step 2: Let Hoard sync the cancellation

On the next sync (or a manual Refresh Orders), Hoard imports the cancelled status.

Step 3: Check your active pull session

If the order was part of an active pull session, Hoard removes it from the pull automatically once the cancellation syncs in — it disappears from the queue, the order count, and the QR cover sheet, with a small “N cancelled removed” note on the tablet view so your puller knows why the count changed. You don’t need to do anything manually here; this is handled for you. If you already printed a pull sheet before the cancellation synced, the paper copy won’t update itself — cross the order off by hand if it matters for your count.

Step 4: Check inventory

Hoard does not automatically restock inventory for a cancelled order. If the card was already deducted from your listed quantity, add it back manually once you’re sure it’s not going anywhere.

Step 5: Check your shipping numbers

Cancelled orders are excluded from the Shipping Breakdown widget’s PWE/tracked counts and from PirateShip exports, so a cancellation shouldn’t skew those figures once it syncs.

Why this order of operations matters

Cancelling on Hoard’s side isn’t a thing — there’s no “cancel” button in Hoard because the cancellation is a TCGplayer-side action. What Hoard does is clean up everything downstream of it once the cancellation lands: pull sessions, shipping counts, and export scopes. Doing the TCGplayer-side cancel first and letting a sync catch it is the whole sequence; there’s no separate “tell Hoard” step.
