Bookmark a search and set a pricing rule
This tutorial walks through two things that work together: bookmarking a search so you can filter your inventory with one click, and attaching a pricing rule to that bookmark so those cards get priced differently from the rest of your collection. We’ll useis:reserved (Magic’s Reserved List) as the main example, but this works with any search query Hoard supports. If you sell Pokemon, there’s a Pokemon example at the bottom too.
What you’ll end up with
- A bookmarked chip in your Cards tab that instantly filters to a specific group of cards
- A pricing rule that applies a custom multiplier to just those cards
- The rule shows up in Settings > Rules so you can test it and reorder it against your other rules
Step 1: Go to the Cards tab
Open your dashboard and click the Cards tab. You’ll see your full inventory in the table view, with the search bar and any existing bookmarks below it.
Step 2: Search for Reserved List cards
Click the search bar and typeis:reserved, then press Enter or click Search.
Hoard sends the query to Scryfall (since is: is a Scryfall operator), gets back the list of Reserved List cards, and cross-references it against your inventory. The stats bar updates to show only your Reserved List holdings.

Step 3: Bookmark the search
If you searched for something that isn’t already bookmarked, you’ll see a Bookmark this search link on the right side of the chip bar. Click it.
Step 4: Set a pricing rule on the bookmark
Every bookmark has a small $ icon on its right edge. Click it to open the pricing rule popover.
- Multiplier — how much to mark up (or down) these cards relative to market price. The dropdown goes from 0.50x to 10.00x. For Reserved List cards, you might set 1.50x to price them 50% above market, since these cards can only go up in value.
- Never go down — when checked, Hoard will never lower the price on these cards, even if the market drops. Useful for Reserved List and other cards you believe will recover.
- Card count — shows how many cards in your inventory match this rule right now.
Step 5: Check your rule in Settings
Your new rule shows up in Settings > Rules. Rules are evaluated top to bottom, first match wins. You can drag rules to reorder their priority.
- The priority number and drag handle
- The multiplier (e.g., 1.20x)
- Whether the rule can lower prices or should hold the floor
- How many cards the rule effectively applies to
- Review labels when a rule is broad, overlaps other rules, or currently has no effect
How rules interact with syncs
When the agent syncs your inventory, Hoard runs your pricing rules in order for each card. The first rule that matches wins. So if a card matches bothis:reserved (at 1.50x) and price>500 (at 1.20x), whichever rule is higher in the list takes effect.
After setting up a rule, you can click Mass Reprice in the toolbar to apply it immediately without waiting for the next sync. You’ll see a preview of every price change before confirming.
Tips
-
Rename your bookmarks. Double-click a bookmark in the Manage Bookmarks panel to give it a friendlier name like “Reserved List” instead of
is:reserved. -
Combine local and Scryfall syntax. Queries like
is:reserved price>50work. Hoard sends the Scryfall part to Scryfall and applies the local filters (like price) on your end. -
Game-scoped bookmarks. If you add
game:pokemonto a bookmark, it only shows in the chip bar when you’re filtered to Pokemon. Game-agnostic bookmarks always show. - Rule overlap. If two rules match the same card, only the higher-priority one applies. The Settings page shows overlap counts so you can spot conflicts.
Pokemon example: price alt arts at a premium
The bookmark-and-rule flow works the same for Pokemon. Here’s a practical example. Goal: Price your alt-art and illustration rare Pokemon cards at a 1.30x premium because they hold value better than regular holos.- Go to the Cards tab
- Select Pokemon from the game dropdown
- Type
r:"Illustration Rare"in the search bar and press Enter - Click Bookmark this search on the right side of the chip bar
- Click the $ icon on the new bookmark
- Set the multiplier to 1.30x and check Never go down
- Click Save
r:"Special Art Rare", r:"Hyper Rare", or any set like set:"Surging Sparks".
