If a sync finished but your prices on TCGplayer still show the old numbers, work through these causes in order — they cover the vast majority of “nothing happened” reports.

1. The batch is held for approval

Hoard’s auto-push guard pauses a price push automatically when it looks unusually large for your store — a big share of your inventory changing, a big dollar amount moving, or a lot of cards swinging more than 10% at once. Increases and decreases are judged separately, so a wave of small increases won’t hold back your decreases (or vice versa). If this is what’s happening, you’ll see a banner on your dashboard saying the push is paused, along with which limit it tripped and an Approve button. 2. You imported these cards from Collectr

Cards imported from Collectr are excluded from automated price updates by default. They were brought in for portfolio valuation, not as active TCGplayer listings, so Hoard won’t touch their prices even on a normal sync. If you want these cards actively repriced, they need to be re-added as regular inventory rather than a Collectr import.

3. Your sync mode is set to Review Mode

In Settings → Sync, the Hoard Agent Sync Workflow can be set to Review Mode or Full Sync. Review Mode calculates new prices and shows you what would change, but never pushes them to TCGplayer until you switch to Full Sync or push manually. If you’re expecting automatic price changes, confirm this setting is on Full Sync.

4. The sync flag auto-cleared before the push ran

If your agent goes quiet for more than 10 minutes mid-cycle (heartbeat stops), Hoard automatically clears the stale sync flag so the account doesn’t get stuck. If that happened partway through, the push may not have completed. Run a fresh Sync Now and check the Sync Log to confirm the price step actually completed this time.

5. The card’s price is locked

A locked price never changes on sync, by design — that’s the point of locking it. If specific cards aren’t updating while everything else around them is, check whether they’re individually price-locked in your Cards table.

Where to check what actually happened

Open your dashboard’s Today tab and click Sync Log. Find the sync in question and look at the price step: it should say something like “calculated · pushed in the background,” followed by a separate “Price update” entry a bit later confirming the push. If it instead says “not pushed,” that’s Review Mode (cause 3 above).
