Store policies are the text buyers see on your storefront describing your return terms, condition standards, and anything else you want them to know before ordering from you. This is different from TCGplayer’s own platform-wide buyer protection policy — it’s the terms you’re setting for your own store.

Step 1: Find your store policy fields

In the seller settings area of your TCGplayer portal, look for the store policy or storefront section. This is usually the same general area where you’d set your store’s profile and banner.

Step 2: Write your return policy

State plainly what you accept back and under what conditions — how many days, whether the buyer covers return shipping, and what “not as described” means for your store specifically. Keep it short and unambiguous; a vague policy causes more disputes than a strict one.

Step 3: State your condition standards, if they differ from TCGplayer’s

If you grade tighter than TCGplayer’s own conditioning standard (some sellers do, especially for high-value cards), say so explicitly in your policy text. Buyers who know your standard up front are less likely to open a dispute over a call that was accurate by your stated rules.

Step 4: Save and review as a buyer would see it

After saving, view your storefront the way a buyer would to confirm the policy text is showing where you expect it.

How this interacts with TCGplayer’s own buyer protection

Your store policy doesn’t override TCGplayer’s platform-level protections for buyers — it sits alongside them. See how Safeguard interacts with your own return policy for how the two work together when a buyer opens a claim.
