Hoard holds certain price decreases for your review instead of pushing them automatically, so a card you deliberately priced above market doesn’t get walked back down without you seeing it first. Here’s how to review a held card and decide.

Why a card gets held

A decrease is held when it matches one of three patterns:
  • Manual premium — the card is priced well above market (at least 1.75x market and at least $5 above it), suggesting you priced it that way on purpose.
  • Reserved list — the card is on Magic’s Reserved List.
  • Large drop — the decrease itself is big: at least 20% and at least $5, regardless of the card’s value.
This is different from a large auto-push hold, which pauses an entire batch because of its overall size. A decrease hold is per-card and only ever about decreases — increases on the same card push normally.

Step 1: Open the decrease holds review

When any card is held, a banner appears above your Cards table. Click Review to open the list of held cards, or Approve & push on the banner to approve every held card at once.

Step 2: Read the held card list

The review panel shows each held card with its reason, current listed price, target price, drop percentage, and quantity, ordered by impact so the cards that matter most are at the top.

Step 3: Decide per card

Select the cards you want to act on with the checkboxes, or use select-all, then choose one:
  • Approve selected — lets the selected cards drop to their calculated target price on the next push.
  • Keep above market — a durable opt-out. The card stays pinned above market and won’t get re-held or recomputed downward on future syncs. It can still rise if the market goes up; it just won’t be forced down. This is reversible from the card’s detail panel if you change your mind later.

Step 4: Confirm the push

Approving selected cards enqueues them for the next price push the same way an ordinary price update does. Keeping cards above market doesn’t push anything — it just clears the hold and pins the price.

What happens next

Either decision — approve or keep — puts the card on 14-day market watch, so you can see how its price tracks against the market while you live with the call. Cards you keep above market won’t reappear in the decrease-hold list on later syncs unless you reverse the opt-out. See how Hoard’s autonomous repricing stays safe for the broader safety model these holds are part of.
