Before sending a Pokemon card in for grading, it helps to see the whole price ladder at once — not just one grade, but how ungraded compares to PSA 9 and PSA 10 — so you can judge whether the gap is worth the time and cost of grading.

Step 1: Open the card

Find the Pokemon card in your Cards tab, Movers, or search, and click it to open the detail panel.

Step 2: Read the grade data in the pricing breakdown

PriceCharting-backed rows show the ungraded price, sales volume, and grade-price data together in the pricing breakdown. That’s your raw-to-graded comparison in one place: ungraded price against the higher grade tiers.

Step 3: Size the gap

Compare the ungraded price against the PSA 9 and PSA 10 numbers. A card where PSA 10 is only marginally higher than ungraded isn’t worth the grading turnaround and cost. A card with a wide spread between ungraded and PSA 10 is a different call — that’s the kind of gap that makes grading worth considering, though the fee, turnaround time, and risk of coming back at a lower grade than expected are all yours to weigh, not something Hoard scores for you.

Where the numbers come from

This is the same PriceCharting data used for PSA grade pricing: weekly eBay sold data covering roughly 83,000 Pokemon cards with prices at each grade level from Ungraded through PSA 10 and BGS 10. It’s Pokemon and Pokemon Japan only — other games don’t have comparable per-grade data in Hoard yet.

After you decide

If you decide a card is worth grading, its price in Hoard stays whatever your normal source says until the graded copy comes back — Hoard doesn’t automatically reprice inventory that’s out for grading. For strategy on pricing graded stock once it’s back in your inventory, see the guide below.

Checking a few cards at once

There’s no dedicated report that ranks your whole inventory by raw-to-graded spread — this is a per-card check today. If you’re weighing grading decisions across a stack of cards, open each one’s detail panel and compare the ladder the same way, since the underlying PriceCharting data updates weekly and the gap can shift as the market moves.
