# How to ship a TCGplayer order as a plain white envelope (PWE)

> The steps to pack and ship a plain white envelope TCGplayer order, then mark it shipped in Hoard.

A plain white envelope (PWE) is how most low-value TCGplayer orders ship: no box, no tracked carrier, just a card, a stamp, and an envelope. If you've already decided PWE is the right call for an order, here's the packing and shipping sequence.

## Step 1: Confirm the order is actually PWE-tier

Hoard sorts orders into PWE vs tracked automatically based on the dollar threshold you've set in the **Tracking threshold** field under **Settings → Pricing**. Anything under that threshold shows as PWE on your pull sheet and Orders tab. ## Step 2: Pull and sleeve the card

Pull the card from stock, matching set, condition, and finish against the order. Sleeve it in a penny sleeve, then a top loader or a semi-rigid card saver for extra protection in transit.

## Step 3: Add a stiffener

Slide the sleeved card between two pieces of cardboard (or use a pre-made card mailer stiffener) so the envelope can't be bent by a mail sorting machine. This is the single biggest factor in whether a PWE card arrives intact.

## Step 4: Address and stamp the envelope

Write or print the buyer's shipping address from the order onto the envelope, along with your return address, and apply postage. If you've connected [TCGTracking](/features/order-tracking), print with its barcode included so the envelope gets a scan trail through USPS even without a real tracking number.

## Step 5: Mark the order shipped in Hoard

Once it's packed and in the mail, go to **Sales > Orders**, select the order (or select every PWE order you just packed in one batch), and click **Mark as Shipped**. ## What you get if you connected TCGTracking

Even without a real tracking number, a barcode-scanned PWE envelope gets you a delivery-status badge on the order in Hoard: Awaiting scan, Accepted, In transit, Out for delivery, or Delivered. It won't satisfy a TCGplayer tracking requirement or win a dispute on its own, but it gives you something to check and something to share with a buyer who asks where their order is.
