# Summarize your TCGplayer sales with an AI assistant

> Ask Claude or ChatGPT to summarize your TCGplayer sales with an AI assistant and get a plain-English revenue recap instead of exporting a CSV.

Revenue, fees, refunds, and order counts are already in Hoard's monthly TCGplayer sales-report data. This is the seller job for answering “how did we do?” without exporting a CSV and building a pivot table.

Before you ask, [connect your assistant](/talk-to-your-store). For the client-agnostic setup path, see [how to connect an AI assistant to your store](https://www.tryhoard.com/connect-ai-assistant-to-your-store). You can also use the client guides for [Claude](/connect-to-claude), [ChatGPT](/connect-to-chatgpt), or [Codex](/connect-to-codex).

## Step 1: Ask for the recap

> "Summarize my most recent completed month of TCGplayer sales. Show gross sales, order count, shipping collected, fees, refunds, adjustments, and net sales after fees. If a month is missing, say so."

For a trend rather than one month, ask:

> "Compare my last three covered months of TCGplayer sales. Call out the change in gross sales, order count, refunds, and effective fee rate."

This is a read. The assistant uses Hoard's monthly sales data: gross and net sales, product and shipping amounts, total fees, adjustments, refunded orders and fees, and refund totals. It does not change a listing, create a report, or trigger a sync.

## Step 2: Read what comes back

Expect the requested monthly totals, not a guessed daily or per-card ledger. If you ask about a fee trend, the assistant can compare the current and prior fee rates; treat that as the effect in your recorded sales data, not an announcement that TCGplayer changed its policy.

## Step 3: Narrow it

Keep going in the same conversation:

> "Break it down by month instead of one total."
> "Which covered month had the highest refund amount?"

Hoard's current MCP sales response is a full monthly series. It does not yet provide a per-product-line sales slice, so do not rely on a request such as “just Magic” as a supported breakdown.

## A gap worth knowing about

Sales reports are recorded by month, and a month only shows up once its report has been uploaded. A missing month is a coverage gap, not a zero-sales month. If a recent period is absent, ask the assistant to identify the missing month, then check that your desktop agent can sync before treating the recap as complete.

## Fee questions specifically

"How are fees trending, has TCGplayer's rate moved?" is really two questions in one: a policy question (did TCGplayer change something) and a data question (what is it costing you). Your assistant answers the second one well because it has your actual numbers. For the first, see the dedicated page on [asking about fee changes](/how-to/ai-assistant/ask-about-tcgplayer-fee-changes), which covers pointing your assistant at the TCGplayer policy background instead of guessing.
