# Team and employee logins

> Give each employee their own Hoard login with the Staff role: what staff can open, how invites work, and what you can see about each person's work.

Team logins let each employee sign in to your store with their own account. Employees stock inventory and run pulls. They can't see pricing, settings, billing, orders, or your dashboard, and you can see who added what.

## Who can use it

Employee logins are on Diamond and Vault. Comped and founder accounts have them too. There is no per-seat price and no seat limit.

On a lower plan, the **Team** tab under Settings is hidden. Opening it directly sends you to billing with a message that employee logins need an upgrade.

## Roles

* **Owner** is the store account and can do everything, including inviting and disabling people.
* **Staff** is an employee. Staff get a fixed set of tools. You can't add custom roles or change what Staff can do.

| Staff can | Staff cannot |
| - | - |
| Browse the card catalog and see how many copies you already own | Open the dashboard |
| Scan cards with Import Scans and review their own scans | Change pricing rules or push prices |
| Stage cards with Quick Add and review their own queue | Open Settings, billing, integrations, or API keys |
| Put cards on shelves and in boxes | Invite, disable, or enable teammates |
| Add cards to lists | Rename or delete lists |
| Publish their own staged cards | See orders, sales, or customers |
| Start, run, finish, and reopen pulls | Use fulfillment overrides, ShippingEasy dispatch, order repair, or tracking exports |
| See their own volume and manage their own account | See another person's scans, drafts, or volume |

Hoard blocks any page for staff unless it was deliberately opened to them.

## What staff see

Staff land on Collect. The header shows your store name, their name, and "Staff", with links to **Card catalog**, **Your scans**, **Queue & shelves**, **Pulls**, **Your volume**, **Your account**, and **Sign out**. **Switch store** appears only if they belong to more than one store. There is no Dashboard link.

If two people add the same card, Hoard keeps two separate staged rows. They merge into your live inventory when the cards are published, so one person's work never overwrites another's.

## Invites

Invite people from **Settings > Team**. Each person shows as **Pending**, **Active**, or **Disabled**. An invite link works once and expires after seven days. **Resend invite** replaces it. **Disable** signs the person out on their next request, and **Enable** restores someone who had accepted.

If the store moves to a plan without employee logins, staff are locked out on their next request until it is back on one.

Step by step: [Invite an employee](https://docs.tryhoard.com/how-to/invite-an-employee.md).

## How employees sign in

Each employee has their own login: email and password, a magic link (**Use a magic link instead** on the sign-in page), **Continue with Google**, or **Continue with Discord**.

Google and Discord are the only social sign-ins. There is no Microsoft, Apple, or SAML option, and no Google Workspace domain restriction. Neither creates staff accounts on its own. Employees use them while accepting the invite or after linking from **Your account**. See [Employee sign-in with Google](https://docs.tryhoard.com/how-to/employee-sign-in-with-google.md) and [Employee sign-in with Discord](https://docs.tryhoard.com/how-to/employee-sign-in-with-discord.md).

### Working at more than one store

One Hoard account is one store. A person who works for several stores can use the same login for each. **Choose a store** lists their stores after sign-in, and **Switch store** in the Collect header moves between them. There is no multi-location inventory inside a single store.

## What you can see

* **Team volume** shows cards added per person over 7, 30, or 90 days. Open it from **Settings > Team > Volume**.
* **Hoard intake history** in a card's detail panel shows who scanned or added that card.
* The sync history feed labels Quick Add batches "by" the person's name.
* The **Pull Recap** email goes to the employee who started the pull, with you copied. It shows orders, cards, time per order, time per card, and who pulled each game.
* **Pull times** charts pull speed over time and shows each puller next to the store average. Tap a name to see that person's trend, games, and recent pulls. Open it from **Pull times** on **Sales > Pulls**. It is on every plan, and staff see only **Your pull times**.

Details: [See what each employee added](https://docs.tryhoard.com/how-to/see-what-each-employee-added.md).

## Limits

* Two roles only, Owner and Staff.
* One account is one store.
* Refunds and mis-picks aren't linked to the person who pulled or packed the order.
* Pull timing is per game queue, not per order. Pulls from before the puller record have no puller.

Pullers who only scan the QR code on a pull sheet do not need a login at all. See [Visual Pull](https://docs.tryhoard.com/features/visual-pull.md).
